Legacy Giving

Donate to Central Catholic through the Catholic Foundation

Through the Catholic Foundation of South Louisiana, you have the opportunity to support Central Catholic in a meaningful and impactful way. Whether you choose to contribute to an existing endowment or establish your own, your gifts will have a significant and lasting impact on the ministry or cause you care about. By giving through the Catholic Foundation, you are investing in the future of Central Catholic and helping to ensure its continued growth and success.

There are several options for giving:

  • Existing Endowments: The Catholic Foundation manages a variety of existing endowments that support different ministries and initiatives within the Church. You can choose to contribute to one of these established endowments, ensuring that your gifts go directly to your favorite ministry or cause.

  • Establishing Your Own Endowment: If you have a specific ministry or cause close to your heart, you can establish your own endowment through the Catholic Foundation. This allows you to create a lasting legacy of support for the ministry or cause that matters most to you. By establishing an endowment, you can ensure that your gifts continue to make a difference for years to come.

  • Planned Giving: Another way to give to your church parish or school is through planned giving. This involves making arrangements in advance to donate assets or financial resources, such as including Central Catholic in your will or estate plan. Planned giving allows you to leave a lasting impact and support the mission of your favorite ministry even after your lifetime.

We encourage you to explore the different giving options available through the Catholic Foundation and consider how you can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others through your generosity.

Did you know that anyone can add to an existing fund at any time, in any amount – even if you did not start the fund! Donating to an existing fund is easy, and there are options for everyone:

Cash

Donate any amount online or mail a check with the fund name on the memo line. We also accept wire transfers and ACH payments.

Credit Cards

We accept all major credit cards online and over the phone.

Real Estate and Marketable Securities

Transfer securities to The Catholic Foundation for Central Catholic – after liquidation, the Catholic Foundation will deposit the assets into the fund of your choice or directly to your parish/ministry.

Insurance Policies

Simply designate The Catholic Foundation, restricted for Central Catholic as the beneficiary and specify the name of the fund.

Life Estate

Allows you to make a gift of your home to benefit Central Catholic parish, while retaining the full use and rights to the property during your lifetime. This type of planned gift may reduce the donor’s tax liability by avoiding a capital gain and by generating a current charitable deduction. It also removes the property from your estate, thereby reducing or eliminating any estate taxes.

IRA Rollover

Roll over all or a portion of your IRA’s required minimum distribution. If you are 72 or older, you can make a gift of up to $100,000 to support your beloved parish or ministry. You will not pay taxes on any distributions made to the Catholic Foundation for Central Catholic.

Bequest

Designate the Catholic Foundation as a beneficiary in your will, restricted for Central Catholic and become a member of the Perpetual Light Society.
