Central Catholic Hall Of Fame

Lifetime Meritorious Service Award/Athletic Achievement Award

Central Catholic and its predecessors, Central Catholic High School, Sacred Heart Academy and Sacred Heart High School, has been in existence since 1894, and during this time has graduated many outstanding men and women and has had many outstanding persons who have made significant contributions to the school. In order to make full use of its rich tradition in education and to give special recognition to a certain number of these outstanding graduates and outstanding persons closely connected with the school, a Hall of Fame has been established during the year of 1979 as follows:

• WHEREAS, Central Catholic has contributed many illustrious men and women to our live, who have, by their skills ability, brought much honor to the school; and

• WHEREAS, Central Catholic has had many friends and supporters who have made outstanding contributions to the school; and

• WHEREAS, it is proper and fitting that the high ideals which they a have represented and supported should be held up as examples for the inspiration and guidance of the youth of Central Catholic; and

• WHEREAS, there is obvious need to make the best use of a great tradition and to insure appropriate recognition and memorialization of our distinguished men and women and the ideals which they have exemplified;

There is herby created, in accordance with the procedures hereinafter set forth the Central Catholic Hall of Fame.

Requirements for the Hall of Fame Nominations

1. In order to be considered for nomination, a person's outstanding achievement or contribution to Central Catholic shall have been initiated at least ten years prior to his or her nomination commencing for date of graduation from the school or five (5) years of Meritorious Service to the school.
2. Nominees must be of sound moral character and will be considered on the basis of their overall contribution to Central Catholic and their services to the school, community, state, and nation.
3. Nominees being considered for their excellence as athletes must have graduated from Central Catholic or one of the predecessor schools. Coaches or dedicated supporters nominated do not have to be Central Catholic graduates.
