Knowledge is Power!

The Central Catholic High School Library Media Center is one of the newest buildings on campus. Built in 2012, the Library houses a robust print collection of reference, fiction and non-fiction materials as well as non-print media such as audio books and DVDs.

Research skills, the use of online research tools, such as databases, and basic library usage skills are taught through the CCHS Library. Students are instructed on how to be effective users of information and how to navigate the sometimes daunting overload of information that is available through the beauty of technology.

Other key features of the Library Media Center are:

  • Four iMac computers with print services
  • 'The Nook' - a special seating area for quiet study and prayer
  • 'The Forum' - a dedicated room for multimedia presentations
  • School archive of yearbooks dating back to the first school annual produced in 1958
